Anushka Is The Patiala Girl

Anushka Sharma made her first debut with King Khan and since then she has only worked with the big names. Now, she is up for another movie ‘Patiala House’ with super star, Akshay Kumar.
Nikhil Advani’s next project ‘Patiala House’ is soon going to roll and it stars Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma, together for the first time.

Close sources reveals, “Nikhil Advani still remembers the day when he read an article on why Aditya Chopra cast Anushka Sharma opposite Shah Rukh Khan for ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’. The reason which Adi gave to the Press was that he wanted the audiences to feel that they were watching a SRK film but landed up coming out of the cinema houses seeing Suri, the character SRK plays in the film."

The sources add further, “If Nikhil had cast any well known face opposite Akshay Kumar; the audience’s reaction would be different. Here they are clearly going to go in the cinemas watching an Akshay Kumar film but he wants them to come out of the theaters watching the character Akki plays.”

“Nikhil wanted to make the characters real and so he cast Anushka Sharma. People are going to remember the character Anushka plays more than the actress of RNBDJ.Add to that, she is only remembered through RNBDJ as of now.”

“Patiala House is a film with real characters, real moments and real emotions. In fact, Nikhil has also decided to tag this film 'A film by Nikhil Advani' as it remains true to himself more than giving out any wrong notions about the film to the audiences."

So, everyone needs to see in future that even Nikhil made a good decision like Aditya by taking Anushka in the lead role. The movie is expected to have a good story line, tricks and emotions.

Vikram wants to concentrate on Tamil films

Despite making his debut in Bollywood films with Mani Ratnam's Raavan, actor Vikram says he wants to concentrate on Tamil films.

"I want to concentrate on Tamil films. I am not really taken up by the fact that I have to do a film in Bollywood because then I’ll have to compromise on my career in Tamil cinema. For that matter, if a good script comes my way, I’ll do it irrespective of the language whether it is Bengali or even Bhojpuri," said Vikram.

The Tamil superstar insists his Hindi has become more fluent, thanks to the movie.
"This is one film where my Hindi has improved the maximum because I had an associate who would not speak to me in any other language other than Hindi. For one-and-a-half years, I have been speaking to him in broken, half-baked Hindi," he said.
